Air Cooled Heat Exchangers Fabricated in:
Air Cooled Heat Exchangers use air as a method of cooling a process inside a tube. Increased efficiency is achieved by either increasing the surface area of the tube or increasing the flow of air over the tubes to be cooled – or both. The addition of cooling fins to the surface of the tube, either by making them integral or by attaching them tightly to the tube’s surface increases its total surface area, resulting in greater cooling effectiveness. Using a fan to blow air onto the tube bundle increases the flow of air over the tubes, also resulting in greater cooling effectiveness.
